As a Sixth Form student, you may already have thought about going to university when you finish college. If you are considering The University of Manchester as one of your options, the Manchester Access Programme can help you prepare for university life and support you through the application process.

At The University of Manchester they want to recruit students who will be successful at the University, irrespective of their background. In view of this, they have developed the Manchester Access Programme to target and support talented students from backgrounds currently under-represented in higher education.

These might include:

  • Students from state schools and colleges;

  • Students from certain postcode areas;

  • Students with lower than average family incomes;

  • Students from families with no history of participation in higher education.
