All our students should already be familiar with ChatHealth. This is a text messaging service staffed by school nurses to provide information on a range of health and well being topics.

With most accidents occurring in the home, hospitals are seeing rise of unintentional injuries and this is an extra pressure that they just do not have the capacity for at the moment.

Kooth is a website which can be accessed from any device. They offer online counselling, as well as safe, monitored forums where young people can find peer support and discuss a range of issues.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our website. Parrs Wood High School and Sixth Form is a culturally diverse and truly a comprehensive learning environment fit for the 21st century. We are proudly the founding member of the Greater Manchester Learning Trust (GMLT).

We provide all of our students with the opportunities to strive towards academic excellence and to develop their skills in order to make a positive contribution to society, regardless of background. The students at Parrs Wood make excellent progress over time demonstrated by our results.

We are committed to building a strong community ethos and this is evidence through how our staff and students interact with each other. We have strong emphasis on student leadership and we actively promote participation at extra-curricular activities. Our entire pastoral care is based on 4 key values; Fairness, Respect, Equality and Dignity (FRED).
