Parrs Wood High School Awards

We are really proud of the Awards that our school has achieved over the years, here is a list of what we have achieved so far and there is still more for us to achieve with your help.

We were awarded an official Ofsted rating of 'Good'  in May 2019 to view our latest Ofsted report and to see what comments they had to say visit our Ofsted website page.

 

This award helps to improve the working relationship with all parents and carers at our school, the school encourages parents to be involved in their children's education and learning which in turn should lead to improved outcomes in all aspects of school life. To find out more visit the website.

We were awarded a 'Silver Award' on providing a whole school approach to the 5 different areas which focus on health and wellbeing for our students. The 5 area's being: Healthy Lifestyles, Emotional Health and Wellbeing, Mental Health and Resilience, Relationship and Sex Education and finally Drugs and Alcohol Education. 

Parrs Wood High School students were nominated and awarded from the speakers school council for their dedication to high levels of recycling and keeping the school environment clean. 

 

A good practice framework and recognition of high quality Careers Education, information, advice and guidance for organisations that are providing support services for young people. Inspiring IAG is a 3 stage process. 

We were awarded the Gold Award for our commitment to providing arts and a cultural education programme for all of our students. It is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by the arts council. 

The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We've been awarded status as a Music Mark school again this year, which is great news! They recognise the value that we place on Music as a school, celebrate our commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum, and have thanked us for the high-quality, diverse and inclusive music education that we offer.
