We know how hard it is deciding on which high school to choose to continue in your education, there is so many questions and decisions you need to make and it all can become quite daunting, which is why we have showcased what our school has to offer you in our NEW school video.

It's only a snippet of what we have on offer here at Parrs Wood but it really shows how we inspire our students and how we live and breathe our core values in our everyday learning, however we want you to see our school for yourself. Our annual open evening will be held on the 19th September 2023, 6pm-8pm. We hope you can join us as we welcome each and everyone of you to our school community.

We firmly believe that learning in the classroom is improved when students are properly engaged outside of it. Therefore, we offer a lot more than academic excellence. We offer a range of activities that take place outside of the classroom and are designed to inspire, deepen and broaden skills, knowledge and experience.
An extensive programme of extracurricular activities is available, whether your sporting, musical, artistic, looking for intellectual challenge or simply wish to relax, there will be a club or activity for everyone. You can find out more by visiting our Enrichment page.
The opportunity to experience new subjects, new activities and make new friends at a bigger school is often met with great enthusiasm. At Parrs Wood, we also understand that whilst some students feel this way, some may feel nervous and anxious at the thought of starting at a new school. For most, it’s normally a little bit of both!
To ensure that our new Year 7 students’ transition from primary school is as seamless and stress-free as possible, Parrs Wood has a very effective and highly-regarded transition programme in place.
