DfE Free School Meal (FSM) Voucher Scheme

Dear Parent / Carer

I hope you and your families are well.

Up until now you hopefully have been able to collect a voucher worth £25 per student from school to support you and your family prior to the Easter break. Additionally you may have received a payment from Manchester City Council over the Easter break.

As we now enter a further period of 3 weeks ‘lockdown’, we are working with the Department for Education (DfE) to deliver supermarket vouchers to families whose children are in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM). This is through a company called Edenred. Families who are entitled to FSM will receive this support in the form of an eCode, that can be exchanged online for vouchers worth £15 per week, per student from a number of supermarkets.

To enable us to efficiently process your eCode we need to have a current, up to date and working email address for you.

If you have:

Š      previously not registered an email address with school or

Š      recently changed your email address or

Š      believe that we may not have an up to date email address for you

then please email admin@PWHS.co.uk Please title the email FSM – ‘Child’s name’ and include your child(s/rens) FULL NAME, TUTOR GROUP, DATE OF BIRTH, POSTCODE and your EMAIL ADDRESS

Once you have been registered with Edenred an eCode will be sent to your email address, we will advise you of when this should be. You will then receive guidance and further instructions on how to exchange this online at www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk for a supermarket eGift card.

If you do not have an email address or you have any questions please contact our school administration team on 0161 446 8640

A guide to frequently asked questions has been attached to help you at this time.

Keep safe
